Osteomyelitis of the rib caused by Aspergillus flavus following cardiac surgery.

2009
Summary Deep sternal wound infections are a rare but severe complication of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery, with an estimated prevalence of 1%–4%. We report a case of osteomyelitis of the rib and chest wall abscess caused by Aspergillus flavus in a CABG patient, which was treated successfully with voriconazole.
