Process for the production of modified alkyd resins by polymerisation of (a) Polyhydric alcohols, (b) polycarboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acids or their anhydrides and (c) unsaturated oils or unsaturated fatty acids, in the presence of organic solvents, characterized in that as solvent unsaturated dialkylamides used.
