Research progress on aptamers as vector mediated siRNA targeted delivery

Small interfering RNA(siRNA) lead to gene silencing through RNA interference(RNAi) approach,which should be paid attention to the applicaion of disease treatment.Now the main problem about siRNA as drugs in disease treatment is how to transfer siRNA targeting to the target cell or tissue.Aptamer,a kind of single-stranded DNA or RNA oligonucleotides synthesized in vitro,has the characteristics of high specificity,strong penetrating,low immunogenicity,which can be used as vector for targeting delivery.This review mainly introduces the development of aptamer mediated siRNA delivery.
