The invention discloses a method for manufacturing a front panel of a plasma display screen. The method comprises the following steps: directly evaporating a Cr/Cu/Cr layer after an ITO (indium tin oxide) film is evaporated; carrying out exposure once, developing once and etching once to obtain a pattern provided with an ITO electrode and a Cr/Cu/Cr electrode; and etching once with different solution, thus the electrode is manufactured, wherein the technical effect in the prior art can be achieved by controlling the etching speed of each coating. The invention has the beneficial effects that: four working procedures are reduced, equipment and materials for the four working procedures can be saved; meanwhile one-step etching of the ITO electrode and the Cr/Cu/Cr electrode is realized, and the yield of the working procedure is improved; one master mask is adopted to solve the problem that the accuracy of aligning the manufactured ITO electrode and the accuracy in a BUS electrode exposure process are poor as two master masks are adopted in the prior art, thus the side effect caused by aligning error and the display quality of the display screen is improved.
