Síndrome nefrótico debido a enfermedad por depósito de cadenas ligeras concomitante con amiloidosis AL extrarrenal Nephrotic syndrome due to light chain deposition disease with extra-renal AL amyloidosis

SUMMARY We present the case of a 58-year-old male patient who developed nephrotic syndrome in a period of two months. A monoclonal IgM kappa band was found with serum immune fixation. A biopsy of the oral mucosa showed the presence of likely AL amyloid, and the renal biopsy showed deposit of kappa light chains in the messangium with negative lambda chains.
