With actinic radiation and optionally themisch curable powder slurry, process for their preparation and their use

1999
The invention relates to an intrinsically viscous powder-slurry that can be hardened by actinic radiation or optionally by thermal means, which contains solid spherical particles with an average particle size of 0.8 to 20 mu m and a maximum particle size of 30 mu m. The clear powder coating slurry contains 0.05 to 1 meq/g of ion-forming groups and 0.05 to 1 meq/g of neutralising agents and has a viscosity of (i) 50 to 1000 mPas at a shear rate of 1000 s , (ii) 150 to 8000 mPas at a shear rate of 10 s and (iii) 180 to 12000 mPas at a shear rate of 1 s .
