La tutoría universitaria: algunos puntos de reflexión

The tutorial program, as such, was established at the university due to the student’s necessity of advice related to academic issues. The tutorial is defined in diverse ways, as a strategy, an action, an activity or a process. Among the tutorial activities, the ones that stand out are to collaborate in the learning process, guidance in the academic process, to recognize students strengths and weaknesses among others. In this sense, the tutor must know different ways to have efficient communication with the student. The tutorial roll is not solely the responsibility of the teacher but of three actors: 1) the institution, who must have clarity in the teachers paper as a tutor; 2) from the student, who most enroll himself in the tutorial process and 3) the teacher, who execute the action. In a changing society, the tutorial program must be evaluated all the time in order to consider several strategies and give the students motivation, following and orientation. It is necessary to recognize the important role of the tutorial program in the quality of the professional’s formation. Keywords: mentoring, students nursing, teacher.
