Provided is an optical member with which it is possible to produce a liquid crystal display device exhibiting excellent mechanical strength and color, and little change in color due to viewing angle. Thus, an optical member having an integrated prism sheet and optical functional element, wherein: the prism sheet has a flat first principal surface, and a second principal surface located on the opposite side from the first principal surface and having a plurality of convex columnar prism units arranged thereon; and the convex sections formed by the prism units on the second principal surface of the prism sheet are adhered to one principal surface of the optical functional element.
