Information Security in a 5G Facility: An Implementation Experience

5G networks provide novel features that have generated huge expectations for industry and society. Therefore, its implementation and validation become crucial. In this context, one of the most important parameters that need to be designed, implemented and tested is security. This paper takes advantage of the real 5G implementation made under the EU-Horizon 2020 5G-VINNI project, and specifically presents the security policies in the operational 5G-VINNI Norway facility. This paper uses as reference the CIA Triad model for the development of security policies, in order to present the concepts in an organized and structured way. In short, the main point of this paper is to present how the 5G-VINNI Norway facility offers availability, confidentiality and integrity to the services provided to 5G-verticals.
