REAGENT MIXTURE STUDY IN COAL FLOTATION

1994
Coal flotation experiments have been carried out to study the effects of change in the percent of collector and frother on the concentrate ash, yield of combustible product and rate of flotation obtained at different dosages of reagent mixtures. Based on the results, it has been found that increase in the percent of frother in the reagent mixture has a maximum effect on the yield with high ash content. The results were also compared by analyzing them in terms of efficiency of the process and rate of flotation to estimate an optimum dosage of reagent mixture at effective amount of collector/ frother percent.
