MODELAGEM FÍSICA COMO INSTRUMENTO DO PROCESSO DA PAISAGEM

This work presents the results of a pedagogical experience in the Architecture and Urbanism course at the Federal University of Santa Maria, Cachoeira do Sul campus. The discipline of Project I aims to introduce notions of integration between built space and open spaces and landscape theory. The objective is to evaluate the use of the physical model as a methodological tool in teaching and project learning in the first semester of the course. A teaching experience based on appropriation and formal exploration based on the construction of physical models was proposed. In this experimentation, the model is the basis of spatial, compositional and volumetric investigation, functioning as a three-dimensional sketch. The experience reinforces the importance of this didactic and pedagogical resource as a tool for learning the project and the variables of the place and the built environment.
