Whole Blood Pathogen Inactivation and Storage Using the S-303 Treatment System

Control units (C) and two Test units (T). C was stored at either 2-6°C or 22.5°C, and T was treated with 2 mM glutathione (GSH) and 0.2 mM S-303. After an 18h RT hold, T units were stored at 2-6°C for 20 days or at 22.5°C for 7 days. The procedure used for the WBPI is shown in Figure 2.
