The clinical research of chemotherapy combined with hyperthermia treatment in malignant pleural effusion caused by lung cancer

2013
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of chemotherapy combined with hyperthermia treatment in malignant pleural effusion caused by lung cancer. Methods 86 cases of malignant pleural effusion caused by lung cancer were collected recently in our hospital, and divided into two groups in accordance with principle of in-formed consent.Control group (40 cases) was given intrathoracic perfusion chemotherapy of cisplatin (DDP),experimental group (46 cases) combined with hyperthermia.Compared clinical efficacy and complications of two groups. Results After the treatment, the total effective rate of experimental group was 97.8%,higher than 85.0% of control group (P < 0.05),and pleural effusion, pleural thickening disappearing time, encapsulated empyema and pleural reaction in experimental group were better than those in control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion Chemotherapy combined with hyperthermia treatment in malignant pleural effusion caused by lung cancer, can significantly improve the clinical outcomes of patients and reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications.
