Experimental and numerical condition assessment of opencast mining and material handling equipment

In the paper numerical and experimental method for detailed condition assessment and estimation of residual life of complex large scale technical objects such as opencast mining and material handling machines is presented. The presented method has been validated and used to evaluate condition and predict remaining time of the future safe operation of significant number of such specialized equipment. Examples of modernizations and information on the recent developments are presented as well.
