Method and device for configuration and configuration in home gateway routing mode

The invention provides a method for connecting and configuring the route mode of a home gateway and a device thereof, wherein, the method comprises the steps: after the home gateway is electrically started, route mode identification is initiated by an illegal account and an illegal code which are pre-configured; when the returned information of identification failure is received, the connection status of the route mode is marked as failure according to the information of identification failure; the home gateway obtains the service request of a client end route, finds out the connection status of the route mode corresponding to the service is a failure and pushes the configuration menu of service parameters to a client end; the home gateway obtains a legal account and a legal code submitted by the client end through the configuration menu of the service parameters, initiates the route mode identification and marks the connection status of the route mode as success after the identification is successful. The method and the device can reduce configuration workload of operators and simplify the connection and configuration of user route mode.
