Build Better: Photonics in Industry

Nothing is faster and more precise than light. The industry also benefits from this. Photonic measuring devices, for example, determine distances by measuring the time it takes a laser to reach an object and back. A completely different example from microtechnology: Twitter, Facebook and Google are exploding data streams. The only solution to keep the transfer running smoothly is to use tiny optical transceivers built into computer chips.
