Effects of fluctuations and interchain coupling on the peierls transition

Abstract We present a theoretical model that enables us to discuss the combined effects of fluctuations and interchain coupling on the Peierls transition in a quasi-one-dimensional metal. A significant result is that fluctuations lead to the appearance of a pseudo-gap in the electronic density of states above T p .
