The present invention discloses a method and system for optimizing transmission antenna selection in a three-dimensional multi-antenna transmission, the method comprising: in a three-dimensional space, based on the acquired pilot signal to a frequency corresponding to the pilot signal on each transmit antenna reception antennas channel estimation; based on channel on all the receiving antennas is estimated acquisition channel space vector for each transmit antenna, based on the channel space vector calculated for each transmit antenna at a rate of gain, and based on this rate of gain of the corresponding transmit antenna is selected as an antenna to be transmitted; transmit antennas to be calculated for all channel rate corresponding to the set, to be transmitted based on the antenna channel rate optimization to determine the final set. The present invention is based on the correlation parameter a rate gain of each transmit antenna, and a channel rate of all corresponding set to be transmitting antenna, and the like, to determine the optimal set of antennas for transmission, significantly reduces the overall energy consumption, reduces the complexity of the transmission equipment, improve the energy efficiency of the system.
