Facial dystonia – A rare initial presentation of acquired immune deficiency syndrome

Abstract Movement disorders could be a neurological complication of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) and may sometimes represent the initial manifestation of HIV (Human Immune Deficiency Virus) infection. Presented here is an unusual case of facial dystonia – as a presenting symptom of HIV. In this case no separate aetiology for facial dystonia other than HIV infection could be found.
