Infection Prevention and Control in Aviation During COVID-19 Pandemic: A Single-Center Qualitative Study and System Review

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, a large number of domestic and international flights were cancelled. However, some destinations remained and more and more airlines have been resuming flights as the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic entered the regular phase. Thus, how to be well prepared for the infection prevention and control is of vital importance. This study proposed a series of countermeasures to the COVID-19 pandemic in aviation involving scanning a QR code to identify suspected patients by rating COVID-19 symptoms, avoiding the peak time of dinning during flight and demonstrated personal protection procedures for medical staff performing tasks during flight in order to offer new ideas for infection prevention and control in aviation during COVID-19 outbreak.
