The invention discloses a cooling water jacket for an engine cylinder cover, which is structurally characterized in that concentric perpendicular water channels are processed on a cylinder body and the cylinder cover, a horizontal water channel is processed at a position, parallel to a nose bridge region, on the cylinder cover, and the horizontal water channel is communicated with the perpendicular water channels. The cylinder body is communicated with the water jacket of the cylinder cover via the water channel, and cooling water pressurized by a water pump enters the cylinder cover to cool the same via the perpendicular water channels and the horizontal water channel. A bowl-shaped plug is arranged at an end of the horizontal water channel, and the cooling water flowing through the horizontal water channel cools down the nose bridge region. The water pump can apply high pressure to the cooling water, the flowing speed of the cooling water is fast when the cooling water flows through the horizontal water channel, so that the temperature of the nose bridge region is rapidly reduced, and the requirement on cooling of the cylinder cover is met. A water hole is designed and processed on the cylinder cover, the engine cylinder body is connected with the water jacket of the cylinder cover via the water hole, the cooling water flows to the nose bridge region along the direction of the drilled hole and specially cools the nose bridge region, and accordingly a good cooling effect is achieved.
