Quantum Light - Matter Interactions with Cold Ensembles

2007 
Cold, trapped atomic ensembles present new opportunities for light-matter interfaces, including tomographic measurements and new light-matter interactions. By way of illustration, we describe spin-squeezing experiments in a dipole-trapped87Rb ensemble.
