A Novel Ex Vivo Intrabronchial Delivery of Ientivirus IL-10 Gene Therapy Attenuates Both Acute Allograft Rejection and Bronchiolitis Obliterans After Murine Orthotopic Lung Transplantation
2015
s S53 All 10 rejection samples (figure 1, shown in red) were associated with a DS-cfDNA level of greater then 1.3%, yielding a sensitivity of 100% and a specificity 80% (figure 2). Two of these demonstrated elevated DS-cfDNA before the onset of any clinical symptoms. Conclusion: DS-cfDNA has high sensitivity in the non-invasive detection of rejection. Patients with elevated DS-cfDNA but without rejection had a higher incidence of valvar regurgitation, quilty lesions, and graft vasculopathy suggesting the utility of DS-cfDNA as a biomarker for ongoing injury to the donor organ.
