On The Problem of Determining the Economic Effectiveness of Health Care

Our society has always ranked the development of health care among the most important problems. This branch will undergo further development under the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. The Twenty-sixth Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union called for raising the level and improving the quality of medical care of the population, for expanding the network and improving the structure and location of health care institutions, andfor improving the supply of medicines, instruments, equipment, vehicles, and means of communication to them.
