Calculation of the settlement of foundations with consideration of the effect of the stress state on characteristics of the soil's deformability

This article analyzes results of triaxial compression tests of sandy soil with restricted lateral displacements of the specimen. Basic propositions of the calculation scheme are formulated for two-phase soil deformation. A number of calculations of round, flexible foundations were carried out, and they were compared with analogous calculations according to the Construction Standards and Rules (SNiP).
