Breast Cancer and Anxiety: A Relationship Study

2020
his study aims to discover the relationship between breast cancer and anxiety disorders by comparing the incidence and death rates for breast cancer from 1990 to 2017 in countries that have high anxiety incidence rates and countries that have low anxiety incidence rates. We analyzed the data for anxiety disorders in many countries and we considered five countries for compression (two countries with highest anxiety disorders prevalence, two countries with lowest anxiety disorders prevalence and one country with intermediate anxiety disorders prevalence). We also analyzed the data for breast cancer incidence, death rates, and disability-adjusted life years for breast cancer in these countries. Our analysis indicates that the incidence rate of breast cancer is higher in countries with a high level of anxiety disorders.
