Sensivity to heat of the fibrinogen of the rainbow trout (Salmo gairdnerii)

1979
Abstract 1. 1. Rainbow trout acclimated for 3 weeks at 9°C and 21°C during winter have an identical fibrinogen level. Experiments conducted during spring show that fibrinogen is notably lower at 21°C than at 9°C. 2. 2. The critical temperature which causes disappearance of fibrinogen on plasma protein disc electrophoresis pattern after in vitro heating during 10 min., is 54°C for man, 52°C for carp and varies from 45°C (in winter) to 43°C (in spring) for rainbow trout.
