Steam iron and methods for producing a steam iron

The present invention relates to a steam iron and a method for producing a steam iron in which a steam chamber body is pressed with a steam chamber cover with a plunger, wherein the steam chamber body having a middle and an upper steam guide region, which are separated by a vertical wall section in cooperation with the steam chamber cover wherein an end face of the vertical wall section is brought directly to the opposite portion of the steam chamber cover in contact and said opposite portion of the steam chamber cover is first pre-formed with a structure which corresponds in mirror image to the structure of the vertical wall portion before it is crimped with the steam chamber bodies.
