An Adaptive Localization Algorithm for WSN Based on Range

2018
Aiming at the following problems that the errors of the localization algorithms are mainly due to the offset between the clock of the node itself and the standard clock, and most of existing algorithms are less concerned with the influence of the real environment on the ranging accuracy, a modified node period ratio (MNPR) localization algorithm is proposed in this paper. In this algorithm, the unknown nodes in the network are to correct the obtained distances between the anchor nodes using the period ratio of each collected anchor node and its own node clock. At the same time, the introduction of the influence factor of actual environment to signal attenuation makes the algorithm have high positioning accuracy in practical application. Considering that many localization algorithms cannot effectively locate the local sparse network, the MNPR localization algorithm is improved based on self-adaptation so that the algorithm can effectively locate the local sparse network according to the actual deployment of the nodes in the network. The simulation results show that the self-adaptive localization algorithm proposed in this paper has a relatively high ranging accuracy, positioning accuracy and good adaptation.
