Periosteal Chondrosarcoma of the Foot: A Case Report

2010
Abstract A 19-year-old girl presented with painless swelling of the first left toe of 6 years' duration. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the lesion demonstrated a soft tissue mass adjacent to the surface of the bone with slight erosion of the underlying cortex. Surgical excision was performed and the histopathological diagnosis was low-grade periosteal chondrosarcoma, which is quite uncommon in this location.
