Synthesis of resveratrol analogues

Five new compounds were synthesized from 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and p-nitrotoluene via multiple steps,including condensation,catalytic reduction,diazotization,hydroxylation,nucleophilic substitution and acylation.The structures of these compounds have been determined by elemental analysis,IR spectra,1HNMR,13CNMR and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy.
