Isolation, purification and some peoperties of polysaccharides from the rhizomorph of Armillariella melles
1998
Some properties of the purified polysaccharide from the rhizomorph of Armillariella mellea (Am) was analysed to make a further understanding of the relationsship between its structure and function. METHODS: The water soluble polysaccharides from the rhizomorph of Armillariella mellea were extracted, isolated and then purified through Saphdex G-150. RESULTS AND CONCLUTION: The purified Am with [alpha]~(25)_(D)+50 deg was a homogeneous fraction without protein. Its molecule with Mr 138 000 and positive Dische reaction was composed of D-glucose, D-galactose, D-mannose, D-xylose and galacturonic acid. The monomer of Am component was pyranose, being peoved by IR spectrum.
