20 – Peptide-based biosensors

2018
With their advantages such as mature synthetic means, various varieties of composition, high sensitivity and selectivity, and long-term stability, peptides have been widely applied in the construction of biosensors. These peptide-based biosensors exhibited excellent properties, and offered the opportunity for biosensors to be produced in quantity and to be preserved for a long time. Thus, they played an important role in modern biosensor development in various fields, such as clinic diagnosis and environmental conservation. In this chapter, a review of peptide-based biosensors in recent years is carried out, and the construction of such burgeoning sensors is also introduced, aimed at offering readers a relatively comprehensive understanding of the peptide-based biosensing field, and providing some useful information for researchers in related fields.
