Carbon Nanotube-Amorphous FePO4 Core—Shell Nanowires as Cathode Material for Li Ion Batteries.

The title nanowires are prepared by functionalizing multi-walled carbon nanotubes with carboxyl groups followed by mineralizing them through sequential adsorption of Fe3+ and PO43- ions onto the carbon nanotube surface in aqueous solution under ambient conditions.
