A New Synthesis of 2-(Hetero)aryl-Substituted Pyrazines.

Abstract 2-Chloropyrazine showed remarkable reactivity towards AlCl3-mediated heteroarylation of arenes and heteroarenes providing direct access to a variety of 2-aryl and heteroaryl-substituted pyrazines, respectively, in good to excellent yields under mild reaction conditions.
