Preliminary study on flagellin roles in ALI of rat induced by sepsis

2009
Objective To observe the possible lung inflammation injury role of flagellin in acute lung injury(ALI) of rat induced by sepsis and possible anti-inflammation role of anti-flagellin antibody serum. Methods To observe PaO2,Wet/Dry value, flagellin and TNF-α concentration in serum and in bronchus alveoli lavage liquid and pathological changes of lung in injury group, treatment group and control group at 2,4,6,12,24h and 48h.Results PaO2 was significantly lower,W/D was significantly higher in injury group at 12,24,48h;flagellin concentration was significantly higher in injury group at 6,12,24,48h,PaO2 was significantly lower and W/D was significantly higher in anti-flagellin antibody serum group only at 24,48h than in control group(P0.01);TNF-α concentration was significantly higher in injury group at 12,24 and 48h,and was significantly higher in flagellin antibody serum group only at 24h,48h than in control group(P0.01).Contrast between injury group and anti-flagellin antibody serum group:PaO2 was significantly lower in injury group, but W/D and TNF-αconcentration were significantly higher in injury group at 12,24h(P0.01).There were some obvious pathological changes of lung in injury group after 12h and in anti-flagellin antibody serum group after 24h.Conclusion Flagellin is important relative factor in ALI of rat induced by sepsis.
