Thisreport describes theprogress on the coupling magnetfortheinternational Muon Ionization Cooling Experiment (MICE).MICE consists oftwo cells ofaSFOFOcooling channel that issimilar tothat studied inthelevel 2 study ofaneutrino factory. The MICERFcoupling coil module(RFCCmodule) consists ofa1.56m diameter superconducting solenoid, mounted around fourcells ofconventional 201.25 MHz closed RF cavities. Thisreport discusses theprogress thathasbeen madeonthesuperconducting coupling coil that isaround thecenter oftheRF coupling module.Thisreport describes theprocess by whichonewouldcoolthe coupling coilusinga single small4 K cooler.In addition, thecoupling magnetpowersystemandquench protection system arealso described.
