A Dither-Free Bias Voltage Optimization Method for Optical IQ Transmitter Based on Genetic Algorithm Using DC and Magnitude Variance

We propose dither-free bias optimization for optical MZ modulators, using a multi-object genetic algorithm configured with magnitude variance and DC component. We demonstrate voltage optimization within 0.5% in 15 iterations with a 1 GHz photodetector.
