Apparatus and method for verifying integrity of video file based on characteristics information of video recording device

Disclosed is a method for verifying integrity of a video file, which comprises the following steps: receiving model information of a video recording apparatus claimed to record a video file and a video which are a verification target; extracting a header structure and a header value of the video; extracting characteristics information according to the model information of the video recording apparatus received from a characteristics database; and determining whether the extracted characteristics information according to the model information of the video recording apparatus match the header structure and the header value of the video file.
