Resistant bricks sleeve

2007
A brick sleeve based on magnesia-carbon high obtainable durability by adding to a mixture of raw material refractory containing 60 to 95% by mass of a raw material of magnesia and 5 to 20 mass% of graphite, a metal powder of one or more selected from the group consisting of Al, Si, Mg, Ca, Cr and alloy thereof in a greater than 3 to 6% by mass amount, and an organic binder in addition to 100 mass% mixture of refractory raw material, and subjecting the resulting mixture to kneading, forming and heat treatment, wherein the brick sleeve has a thickness of 70 mm or less, wherein the thickness of the brick sleeve means thick part thinner thereof; when the brick has a tapered sleeve, the sleeve thickness brick means a minimum thickness of the remaining portion other than the tapered portion; when the inner bore is tapered over the entire length thereof, the thickness of the brick sleeve means a minimum thickness in an area where the internal bore is narrowed; and when there is a step within the inner hole, the thickness of the brick sleeve means a minimum thickness in a region of the inner hole having a smaller diameter; and wherein, during use, the metal or metals in the refractory product is converted or transformed into an oxide, and the metal oxide expands in volume through a reaction with magnesia.
