The method for querying the distributed multi-scale spatial data includes S1, acquiring query request information; S2, determining index layers in primary indexes according to the query request information; S3, searching target data service of target data in the index layers according to target regions of the target data; S4, acquiring secondary indexes corresponding to the target data service; S5, querying network access addresses of the target data in the secondary indexes according to the target regions of the target data. The query request information at least contains the target regions of the target data. The index layers correspond to the target data, and scales corresponding to the different index layers in the primary indexes are different from one another. The method and the system have the advantage that spatial entity objects of mass data can be quickly retrieved by the aid of the method and the system.
