Уровень самоидентификации как субъективный критерий отнесения индивида к российскому среднему классу

The author presents the results of sociological research referring the self-identification level as the subjective criterion for the contemporary middle class in Russia (the case of Saratov). The nature of self-identification of an individual and group, and their characteristics at the present stage are revealed, and indicators for referring the individual to the middle class are defined.
