The use of a quarter-wave vibrator for measuring dynamic properties of polymers in the audio frequency range☆

Abstract A modified method is described using “resonance bars” to study the dynamic behaviour of polymers at different temperatures and frequencies. Measurements are given of the dynamic behaviour of carbon black reinforced rubber in a half-wave and quarter-wave vibrator.
