Influencing factors of poor medication compliance of patients with chronic skin diseases and the nursing improvement methods

Objective To explore the influencing factors of poor medication compliance of patients with chronic skin diseases and the nursing improvement methods. Methods A total of 130 patients with chronic dermatosis and poor medication compliance were enrolled in our hospital from January, 2017 to November, 2018. The influencing factors of poor medication compliance were retrospectively analyzed, and corresponding nursing improvement methods were proposed. In addition, the situation of medication compliance changes during the treatment was followed. Results After retrospective analysis, the factors affecting medication compliance included the patients' educational level, disease knowledge, economic affordability, complexity of the program, ease of use, drug symptomaticity, understanding of the drug product, trust degree in medical technology, the attitude to health care workers, and trust degree in remedies and secrets. After adopting an improved method of care, the patients' medication compliance was significantly improved. At the same time, the patients have achieved significant improvements in reducing drugs, increasing doses, stopping drugs, improper use and substitution. Conclusion By analyzing the relevant influencing factors and taking the corresponding nursing measures, it has a significant effect on improving the medication compliance of patients with chronic skin diseases.
