Distributed control high speed connection circuit switch

PURPOSE: To hunt one path for a relevant sub-set, and to set-up complete connection by controlling the separated sub-sets in a network by each of plural controllers. CONSTITUTION: One controller is assigned to sub-sets indicated by one dotted line surrounding cross points in an OS1 and a dotted line surrounding three cross points of each switch 101, 102, and 103 in a first stage, and a busy/idle state for the cross points for controlling connection from an arbitrary entrance to an arbitrary exit on the OS1 is held. At the time of connecting one entrance on the OS1 with one exit on the OS1, the stage of a link between an OS1 and the OS1 is checked. When the entrance, exit, and link are all idle, one cross point in each IS1 and OS1 is closed, and the desired connection is set. COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
