The invention discloses a method for producing a layer system on a component, are deposited on the component in which at least one layer by means of atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) and at least one other layer by means of the suspension plasma spraying (SPS). the layers in the order of APS or APS + PLC + PLC + APS or APS + SPS + erosion layer are deposited particularly advantageous. This so-applied layer sequences regularly have the effect that a first porous layer and disposed thereon second porous layer is present, the porosity of the second layer is greater than that of the first layer and the reflectivity is greater than that of the first layer. The increasing reflectivity of the layer, in particular in the visible (VIS) and near infrared (NIR) wavelength range, the advantageous effect of lower thermal load on the substrate material, since only a smaller proportion of thermal radiation penetrates through the ceramic thermal barrier coating, and thus only a slight heating the substrate (component) results.
