SOME CONSIDERATIONS ABOUT THE INFLUENCE OF THE 19TH CENTURY S CHEMICAL MODEL IN SOME FREUDIAN TECHNICAL WRITINGS PUBLISHED BETWEEN 1915 AND 1919 The main goal of this work is to examine the inluence of the chemical model of the early nineteenth century in some of the Freudian technical writings published between 1915 and 1919. Firstly, the mentioned chemical model is explored considering two of its main referents: Antoine Laurent Lavoisier and Justus von Liebig. Secondly, the references to this chemical model are investigated in three Freudian technical writings. Finally, it is suggested that by examining the models and the referents in the Freudian’s work it is possible to delineate the original in Freud. In this sense, Freudian chemical metaphor founds it reference in Lavoisier s analytical chemistry. In other words, is a reference to the chemistry as a science of the analysis.
