Effect of Interoceptive Feedback Manipulation on Sense of Agency

2017
Sense of Agency (SoA), is one’s awareness of being in control of one’s actons (Gallagher, 2000). According to dominant contemporary models of SoA, a discrepancy between expected and actual sensory input generates an error signal and can lead to disturbances in agency atributon (Frith, 2012). In present study we explored whether non-atended interoceptve bodily signals (induced physiological stress) can carry predicton error with a broader e?ect and consequently in?uence SoA, measured by intentonal binding task.
