Analysis on the technological feasibility of rdf made from municipal waste and biomass.

A new technique of refuse derived fuel(RDF)made from municipal solid waste(MSW) and biomass was introduced in this paper.The component and heating value of MSW were analyzed after source separation,and the application prospect of RDF for the disposal of MSW and biomass was discussed.The results showed:bio-organic composition accounts for more than 70% of MSW in weight in Shenyang,and residues account for less than 30%;the heating values of the various component of waste residues are all higher than 16 000 kJ/kg,among which,the heating value of plastic component is 30 211 kJ/kg;RDF made by mixture of RMW and biomass can effectively solve MSW problem in cities and biomass residues problem in rural areas.
