A high-power, single-frequency Ti:Sapphire laser for water-vapor DIAL

A high-power Ti:Sapphire ring laser with injection seeding at 820 nm is presented. Pumping a Brewster-cut crystal with 23-W pump power at 532 nm resulted in single-frequency operation with average power of 6 W.
